Horizon Europe CHIPS-JU – Briefing Information

The UK has joined the EU’s Chips Joint Undertaking (JU) as a Participating State enhancing access to €1.3 billion Horizon Europe funding for collaborative research and innovation projects across semiconductors, electronics components and systems.

An online briefing event hosted by Innovate UK was held on 25 March 2024, which gave details about the support from the Chips Joint Undertaking (JU).

Power Electronics UK – Input Requested for Position Paper

PowerElectronicsUK (PEUK) is an independent and voluntary industry-led body, supported by TechWorks, and representing the UK power electronics sector in all application sectors. Their aims are to give a voice to the UK power electronics sector, facilitate connections between sector-related organisations, enable business and investment growth, support skills development and guide research and development. PEUK is currently engaged in preparation of a position paper that informs the UK government, industry and academia about UK’s strengths and weakness in power electronics, the opportunities and recommendation required to achieve NetZero by 2050 , and to become global innovative leader in the field of electrification.

To facilitate our objectives, PEUK is reaching out to all organisations located in the United Kingdom that are involved in the supply chain for Power Electronics, to contribute to their Position Paper. 24th European Microelectronics and Packaging Conference (EMPC 2023) – 11-14 September 2023 – Online Proceedings Available

IMAPS-UK hosted the 24th European Microelectronics and Packaging Conference (EMPC 2023) at the Wellcome Genome Campus near Cambridge, with over 260 people attending over the four days of the in-person event. The Conference featured state of the art presentations from 5 keynote academic and industrial speakers, 70 oral and 18 poster presentations and 4 Professional Development Courses.
