UKESF Scholarship Scheme – 2024/25
The UKESF Scholarship Scheme is now open for applications from students. Every year, they receive hundreds of applications from some of the brightest and most motivated Electronics, Computer Science and Engineering undergraduates who are keen to develop their skills through work experience, whilst adding value and capacity to Semiconductor teams throughout the UK. It’s not too late for your company to join the scheme and get connected to the next generation of engineers!
The UKESF now partners with 29 leading universities to ensure they cast their net wide to search for the most capable students out there. The Scheme is for companies of all sizes and provides an effective pipeline for recruitment. It’s also an opportunity to support and sustain the UK Electronics industry. The UKESF Scheme has been developed with employers over many years, and they always endeavour to match students interests and capabilities with company requirements. What’s more, the UKESF is a charity. This means that their fees are low and any surplus they make is invested back into activities which aim to inspire more young people to pursue Electronics.

pOp4 Conference – 15 -16 October 2024 – Report
The pO4 Conference on Photonics and Opto-Electronic Packaging has made the following information available.
The IMAPS-UK organised pOp4 Conference and Exhibition on Photonics and Opto-Electronic Packaging with support from the Torbay Hi-Tech Cluster took place at Paignton, Devon over 2 days, the first day on Tuesday 15th October 2024 at South Devon College on state of art presentations on photonics and opto-electronics packaging including sessions on applications, photonics packaging capabilities, materials, equipment, skills and collaboration; the second day on Wednesday 16th October 2024 was dedicated to highlighting the facilities and capabilities of the organisations at the Electronics and Photonics Innovation Centre (EPIC).
