IMAPS-UK is pleased to announce a Call for Abstracts for an Academic Conference on Innovations and Solutions in Micro-Electronics Assembly and Packaging. The Academic Conference is planned to be held at the London Institute of Healthcare Engineering, SE1 7EH on Thursday 19 June 2025.

The Inaugural IMAPS-UK Academic Conference aims to create and foster a research and development community focusing on Innovations and Solutions in Micro-Electronics Packaging and Assembly. This in-person Conference combines invited Keynotes, Presentations and Posters from leading Academics, Industrial Companies and Research Institutions to highlight advances in micro-electronics assembly and the challenges faced in transferring research and development outcomes to successful industrial implementation.

IMAPS-UK invites Abstracts which not only describe the latest advances in Assembly and Packaging Processes, but also provide insights into the challenges faced in the maximising the research outcomes through exploitation of results and learnings to improve skills and training, creation of employment opportunities and encouraging future collaborations.

The following Topics have been highlighted:

• Applications
• Advanced Packaging Technologies
• Research and Development in Materials and Processes
• Exploitation of Academic Research

The IMAPS-UK Photo and Illustration Competition (IPICo) is the first open competition intended to highlight the “beauty” and fascination of the world of electronics packaging. Whatever area you may be working on in this field, there will always be something that is eye-catching and interesting to others in the electronics packaging community.

IPICo aims to capture and publicise these moments, so that they can be appreciated by a wider audience. This competition welcomes the contributions of electronics professionals, researchers and students from all levels and ages.

The IPICo Competition opens on the 28th November 2024 and will be open to entries until 14th March 2025. The results will be announced at the MicroTech 2025 Conference on 20th March 2025 at the National Space Centre, Leicester.

Submission Requirements:

• All submissions must be original work taken by the entrant and must not infringe on the rights or privacy of any other person or entity
• The submissions must be either be a high resolution image or mute mini-clip with a maximum length of 3 seconds
• The accepted file formats are PNG. JPEG, AVI, MKV or GIF
• The maximum file size is 5MB
• The submission must be accompanied by a Title, a Short Description (up to 10 words), the entrant’s name and affiliation
• Any single participant is allowed up to 3 submissions, but will receive only one prize regardless of the number of entries
• The images submitted may be published on the IMAPS-UK website with the entrant name and affiliation being acknowledged
• Your submission will be open-sourced under the Creative-Commons CC BY-NC-SA License

The Centre for Power Electronics (CPE) and IMAPS-UK are pleased to announce a Call for Abstracts for the Annual CPE Conference from Early and Mid Career Academics. The CPE 2025 Conference is planned to be held at the University of Sheffield on 8-9 July 2025.

Abstracts are invited from early/mid career academics which describe the latest advances in Power Electronics and Drives. Up to 4 abstracts will be selected for Oral Presentation during the CPE Conference.

• Semiconductor and Passive Devices
• Packaging and Interconnect
• Converters, Drives, Machines and Other PEMD Applications
