IMAPS-UK is organising an Electronics Inspection and Test Workshop to provide a comprehensive overview of how these methods are applied in microelectronics packaging, which will be held on Tuesday 29 April 2025 at IPP Group, Bromsgrove B60 4AD.

Knowledge of the methods of inspection and testing of microelectronics are essential elements in determining the quality and reliability of manufactured components. This workshop provides the opportunity to learn about the application of inspection and test techniques applied to micro-electronics components.
The event will open with a plenary introduction session covering an overview of inspection and test methods and equipment capabilities. Following the introduction, practical demonstration sessions will cover:
- X-Ray Inspection
- Scanning Acoustic Microscopy (CSAM)
- Bond Testing, Sectioning and Optical/SEM Inspection
Attendees will be split into groups to enable individuals sufficient time to access the available equipment.
Attendance at the Workshop is limited to 40 places on a first booked basis
The workshop will address the training needs of students and researchers within Colleges and Universities and personnel within Industrial companies to assist in the upskilling and reskilling of people for the inspection and testing of electronics modules. Attendees can request a Certificate of Attendance that can be used as proof of Continuous Professional Development.
